RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Java Developer in Greenwood Village, CO.

Summary:
The client is looking for a Backend Software Engineer for an agile development team developing advanced advertising software. The candidate follows company software development lifecycle to design, code, configure, test, debug, and document solutions. This person will be a team player who works with other agile team members, collaborating to ensure that software is maintainable, testable, scalable. Initially will help maintain existing software while learning the advertising software stack. The Java Developer keeps team lead and Development Manager abreast of any issues that arise during development. They will also participate in architecture, design, deployment reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Java Developer will work in an Agile Software Delivery methodology, developing Java/Kotlin software


• Implement software fixes/enhancements to dynamic ad insertion software stack, including web services, databases, AWS lambdas, AWS SQS


• Frontend development if capable


• Participate in production support rotation


• As a Java Developer, you will maintain/develop AWS infrastructure scripting (TerraForm) when necessary


• Collaborate with team on new dynamic ad insertion software stack development

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5-10 years of experience


• Experience working on an agile software team


• Experience with REST based microservices development in Java


• Experience with AWS development, Kubernetes (or other container architecture)


• Experience with SQL/NoSQL database development


• Experience with caching technologies


• Experience using issue tracking software (Jira)


• Experience with IDE development


• Experience with source code management and build software


• Ability to learn with minimal direction or supervision


• Excellent communication skills

Preferred background:

• Experience with Terraform, Docker, Redis, Mongo, Postgres, AWS CloudWatch, AWS SQS, AWS Lambda Dev, Dynamo DB


• Experience with AWS console management


• Experience with Jenkins, Git, IntelliJ


• Kotlin development is a plus


• Experience with infrastructure as code development (Terraform)


• UI Development - React

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
