Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00 per hour based on experience.
Position Summary:
The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the HR function including basic onboarding, employee relations, benefits, HR system data entry, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Administrative HR support
Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
Identify ways to improve HR practices
Processes employment applications from plant locations
Submits requests for background checks and drug tests; issues pre-adverse and adverse action letters as needed
Assists with new hire orientations as needed; maintains an adequate supply of orientation materials; and compiles orientation packets.
Aids in sourcing and recruiting efforts for hourly employees.
Ensures completion of all new hire paperwork.
Creates new employee personnel files and maintains files and filing system
Ensures accuracy of information entered in HR database (Paycom)
Codes invoices as appropriate, i.e., drug testing, background checks, benefit billing, legal bills, etc.
Manage arrangements for company functions
Oversee employee perks, including gym membership enrollments
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
PHR or SHRM certification preferred
2+ years' experience in Human Resources. Manufacturing environment and labor union experience preferred
Strong knowledge of hiring processes and payroll
Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
Excellent proficiency with MS Office suite
Excellent communication skills
Occasional travel to locations in Ohio and Maryland
