Job Designation

 Responsible for the supervision and coordination of production assembly personnel to meet internal and external delivery requirements with a consistent approach to improve established standards for quality and efficiency.

Job Core Responsibilities


  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to maximize utilization of resources and meet departmental goals.

  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, shop orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.

  • Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers.

  • Supervise the manufacture of components, or assembly of units to ensure that work conforms to production specifications.

  • Read and analyze charts, sales orders, production schedules and other records or reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.

  • Approve and verify accuracy of employee timesheets.

  • Manage departmental inventories and provide workers with all documentation, raw materials, tools, or instructions as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with all departmental processes and procedures to include OSHA, ISO, EPA, and other corporate requirements as specified.

  • Work with engineers, planners, or other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and improve process methods, equipment performance, product quality or efficiency.

Job Qualifications


  • Must be able to perform all essential functions and meet qualifications of Electro-Mechanical Assembler 2

  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of eletromechanical units

  • Understand written documentation and procedures or verbal instructions (English)

  • Proficient with basic hand tools and assembly practices

  • Possess basic computer skills (Window)

  • Proficient with basic wiring, soldering, crimping and ESD practices

  • Ability to inspect their own work and maintain quality standards

  • Ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised

  • Provide information to supervisors or coworkers through written, verbal, or electronic means

  • Conduct tests and inspections of assemblies or subassemblies

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair assemblies that fail function testing

  • Inspect materials to identify the cause of errors or defects

  • Strong leadership skills, strong organizational and planning abilities, excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential

  • Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively and display the commitment and work ethic required

  • Ability to consider relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choose what is most appropriate

  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required

  • Experience with an ERP system is preferred

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods

Education


  • High School Diploma

Work Environment/Physical Ability


  • Must be able to work MON-THUR 6 AM-4:30 PM

  • Must be able to work FRI-SUN when required (overtime hours TBD)

  • Must be able to stand for up to 2.5 hours at a time

  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
