The Warranty Specialist will be a specialist in analyzing, managing, and monitoring OEM warranty data and developing metrics for management. This position will also prioritize warranty issues per customer, and will participate in customer warranty parts analysis reviews. This position requires strong analytical skills, as well as strong customer communication & negotiation skills.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
• Assist the Director of Service Operations, prepare and suggest final judgment on claims exposures and major warranty repair exposure to ensure continuity in claims processing and warranty repair completions.
• Serve as the first point of contact liaison regarding warranty questions for the service department.
• Ensure that warranty department is acknowledging, recording and processing customer claims in a manner which results in the resolution of warranty liabilities at the lowest overall cost to the Company.
• Coordinate the investigation of claims and back charges through the scheduling of field inspections, return of damaged components for in-plant analysis and internal review of product failures.
• Correspond with company representatives and communicate with internal departments regarding the status and outcome of warranty claims and programs.
• Develops and documents procedures, work instructions, and other documentation to support the warranty process and issue resolutions.
• Develops and prepares standard reporting for warranty metrics and warranty management reviews.
• Report on the status and outcome of warranty claims and modification programs as required to customer, Company representatives and internal departments.
• Identifies claim information needed from the Service Calls, service report information, reopening and invoicing warranty Service Calls
• Provides communication and follows up on backed out, reopened, and closed warranty Service Calls not invoiced, and specific open Service Calls needing closing action, to ensure timely claims
