SK pharmteco is a custom manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs, Drug Substances) and registered intermediates for customers in the pharmaceutical industry. Our integrated facilities located in California, Texas, and Virginia specialize in process development, scale-up, and cGMP compliant production from kilograms to multi-ton quantities.
We are looking for a Sr Engineering Project Manager to join our team in Rancho Cordova, CA (greater Sacramento area).
Job Summary
The Sr Engineering Project Manager manages facility and process related projects to add, alter, or construct new equipment and/or facilities related to chemical process needs. Peforms engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget. Designs, implements and communicates an operational plan for completing the project. Identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary to complete the project. Collaborates with other departments and coordinates their disciplines to the development of the project. Takes action to resolve operations problems and minimize delays. May need to generate cost justifications for projects and create capital request authorization documents. Interfaces directly with Sacramento County and other agencies. Works under only general direction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develops plans and specifications for the renovation or construction of new facilities, reviews plans and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
Works interdepartmental in the conceptual development, estimating and final design efforts.
Maintains contact with inter-organizational and external representatives and give briefings concerning specific and/or organizational projects or operations.
Develops standard computerized specifications.
Monitors project status and ensures that contractual requirements are met.
Prepares appropriate records to accurately reflect the status and cost of projects from inception through completion.
Provides coordination of all functions required for assigned projects.
May direct projects of moderate scope and complexity including facility design and construction, office and plant layout, equipment, and furniture relocation, etc.
May coordinate the preparation of technical documents with other engineering disciplines.
May have budget and schedule responsibility for projects.
May perform simple field construction inspections.
May assign work to and direct less senior employees as appropriate and required.
Education and Experience
Typically requires 5-8 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree or 3-6 years of related experience and a master's degree or equivalent experience.

Auto Cad LT or better, MS Project preferred, PMP desired, cGMP
