RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Cincinnati, OH that is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. This person can work fully remote with no restrictions. This person will be working on supporting Azure measurement pipelines/workflows for campaign performance.

Summary:
We are a full stack data science company. We own 10 Petabytes of data, and collect 35+ Terabytes of new data each week sourced from 62 Million households. As a member of our software engineering team you will use various cutting-edge technologies to develop applications that turn our data into actionable insights used to personalize the customer experience for shoppers at our client.

In this role, the Senior Data Engineer will take ownership of features and drive them to completion through all phases of the entire SDLC. This includes external facing and internal applications as well as process improvement activities such as:

• Participate in design of Big Data platforms and SQL based solutions


• Perform development of Big Data platforms and SQL based solutions


• Perform unit and integration testing


• Partner with senior resources, gaining insights


• Participate in retrospective reviews


• Participate in the estimation process for new work and releases


• Be driven to improve yourself and the way things are done

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven Big Data technology development experience including Hadoop, Spark (PySpark), and Hive


• Understanding of Agile Principles (Scrum)


• Experience developing with Python


• Cloud Development experience (Azure)


• Exposure to VCS (Git, SVN)


• Experience developing with SQL (Oracle, SQL Server)


• Exposure to NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra)


• Apache NiFi experience


• Airflow experience


• Docker experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
