ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Educational Functions


a. Clearly articulate, enforce and educate patrons on all rules, policies and procedures.
b. Demonstrate and instruct the proper use of cardiovascular and resistance exercise equipment.
c. Assist in deployment of educational opportunities for members.
d. Promote fitness programs to patrons.
e. Advise participants on routine exercise questions (this does not include exercise prescription).


2. Customer Service Functions


a. Have a friendly and outgoing personality
b. Work with others to execute risk reduction measures and provide care in emergency situations.
c. Provide customer service and respectfully manage disagreements.


3. Equipment Maintenance


a. Refill sanitary wipes as needed.
b. Clean equipment and conduct preventative maintenance.
c. Conduct opening and closing procedures appropriately.
d. Monitor the operating condition of all workout equipment and document any equipment malfunctions.



Qualifications

Experience Minimum Required

Six months in the Fitness Industry and/ or currently enrolled in 3rd/4th year of an Exercise Science or comparable bachelor's degree
program, and/or currently studying for an NCCA approved personal training certification (preferred certifcation
organizations NSCA, ACSM, NASM or ACE) and plan to be certified within 90 days of hire.



Experience Preferred/Desired



  • 2 years' experience in the fitness industry


Education Minimum Required



  • High School Diploma


Education Preferred/Desired

NCCA approved personal training certification (preferred certification organizations NSCA, ACSM, NASM or ACE) and/or
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or equivalent.



Licensure and/or Certifications Required



  • CPR within 3 months of hire
