Intro and job overview:

The role of a Managed Services Technical Consultant is to deliver services to promote the successful operation of Precisely solutions deployed at customer sites. You will be working with a variety of HA solutions providing monitoring and error resolution to multiple accounts each day, along with coordinating with product and services teams on customer related projects. This is an influential role at Precisely which significantly impacts the customer experience as well as contributes to the growth of the Managed Services business.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform Managed Services tasks based on contractual SLAs (service level agreements) including daily physical checks of Precisely products, error resolution, product configuration changes, product updates, basic skills transfer, solution testing and weekly status reporting.
  • Maintain a consistent communication channel with customers and partners to resolve issues.
  • Follow established Managed Services best practices to deliver consistent and effective monitoring, alerting, and incident response for Precisely products.
  • Act as a product SME who can advise the customer on HA products.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of best practices and methodologies based on customer
  • Participate in on-call rotation for customers with 24x7 alerting.
  • Maintain industry and Precisely certifications, as required.
  • Work with Manager to identify potential revenue generating opportunities.
  • Develop approaches to drive process efficiencies.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years working with HA solution products
  • Education or equivalent experience in computer system operations. AS400/IBMi, database, database to database replication experience preferred.
  • iSeries administration experience.
  • Flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Manage own workload to ensure daily coverage of all assigned accounts.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience supporting Precisely ASSURE MIMIX/iTERA products.
  • Working knowledge of advanced network topologies such as on prem and cloud-based solutions.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
