Overview

Ensures a safe working environment for all employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety training for new and existing employees in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Order safety supplies, uniforms, etc. and distribute to employees.
• Recommend safety enhancements that will reduce employees' exposure to work hazards in coordination with Corporate EHS.
• Investigate industrial accidents and injuries to assist in determining root causes and preventive measures.
• Report or review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections
• Ensure employees in plant are complying with safety procedures by wearing the necessary PPE and following guidelines.
• Prepare initial paperwork when an injury occurs.
• Accompany employees to medical clinic when necessary.
• Performs other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bi-Lingual: English/Spanish
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One to two years previous work-related experience.
• Computer skills required; Outlook email, production systems, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
• Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
