Description: Our client is currently seeking a Process Engineer
Location: On-Site in Kankakee, IL (Opportunity for remote work periodically once fully trained. Remote work details to be discussed and agreed upon with the manager.)

Contract Duration: Opportunity for contract to be extended beyond 6 months
Job Description:
Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
Performs engineering design evaluations and may develop a range of products.
Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Works under immediate supervision and typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Responsibilities:
Learn internal manufacturing processes from three Kankakee site perspectives (Fractionation, Bulk Purification, and Fill/Finish) as applicable.
Support deviations/batch release from a process engineering (PE) perspective.
Use worst-case data, downscale reports, etc., to draft technical assessments to justify batch release.
Provide peer reviews for PE technical assessments.
Perform normalization calculations from characterization testing results.
Support ongoing taskforces for Right First Time initiatives.
May require lab or shop floor work/studies.
Handle sample logistics for technical assessments.
Send samples to KAN, BRN, and MBR R&D/QC departments.
Support process/equipment improvements via GCC as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Familiarity with engineering design and evaluation processes.
Basic understanding of technical product development and analysis.
Knowledge of commonly-used engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
Basic knowledge of process engineering (PE) and quality control (QC) procedures.
Familiarity with sending samples to different R&D/QC departments.
