Overview

The Manager, Learning and Development - Data Literacy is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing data literacy campaigns across the organization. This role involves collaboration with various teams and departments to define the direction and develop comprehensive data literacy initiatives. The goal is to enhance data literacy, digital fluency, and data product awareness within the organization.

Responsibilities

Program Development and Stakeholder Collaboration:


  • Design and implement data literacy programs, including curriculum-based education and training, including developing the strategy/vision while creating buy-in with leadership and communicating effectively out to the organization

  • Develop and manage comprehensive development pathways and training requirements for each applicable role.

  • Create learning solutions and processes aligned with organizational competencies.

  • Develop content, resources, and materials through collaboration with internal teams and vendor partnerships.

  • Collaborate with HR, Learning & Talent Development (L&TD), and other stakeholders to drive a quality and consistent learner experience.

  • Support and participate in development, design, and review of training content to ensure training is accomplished and effective. May include partnering with cross-functional teams and/or vendor partners to source and deploy necessary resources to accomplish goals.

  • Communicate current and future training opportunities to relevant employees.

Change Management:


  • Conduct change readiness and impact analyses and develop strategies to drive buy-in for data literacy initiatives.

  • Lead change management strategies for data literacy.

Evaluation, Improvement, and Employee Management:


  • Collaborate with leadership to establish, measure and meet business plan goals.

  • Benchmark data literacy programs against external standards for continuous improvement.

  • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of training and report adoption metrics at enterprise and departmental levels.

  • Lead, support, training and guidance to direct reports to achieve individual and organizational goals related to data literacy.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Education, Instructional Design) required; or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background.

  • Minimum 7 years in a Learning and Development role, with experience in data literacy, data governance, or related fields. (10 years' experience preferred)

  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful data literacy programs.

  • Experience with blended learning methods and practices.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to distil technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

  • Strong project/program management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects through various stages of development and approval.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to evaluate data and courses of action to reach logical, pragmatic decisions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

  • Familiarity with data and analytics terminology and methodology.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster teamwork across local and global teams.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build constructive and collaborative working relationships.

  • Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.

  • General office environment with accessibility to support multiple time zones.
