Responsibilities: The Supplier Engineer / Quality Engineerposition is part of the Quality Assurance team and is responsible for administering programs of auditing, surveillance, assessment, and quality system development within the supply base. This position offers opportunities to be involved in and work with many departments in the manufacturing sites that contribute to the many cutting-edge products offered by Hydro-Gear.

Core Responsibilities of our Supplier Engineer / Quality Engineer:
Administer and improve Supplier Quality Programs with responsibilities for system, process, and product audits and scorecard activityWork daily with purchasing, inspection and suppliers to resolve quality related issues; disposition non-conforming material; support buyer in providing fit for use materialsValidate Supplier APQP functionsAssure timely and effective Supplier Corrective Actions.Implement and maintain effective reporting system for key issues and opportunities for improvement in supplier quality performanceDevelop suppliers use of quality and statistical tools in problem identification and resolutionUp to 50% of scheduled domestic & international travel
