Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Basic Job Functions:
The Internal Auditor position will be based in the Charlotte corporate office. The functions of this role include but are not limited to:
• Performing the internal audit function for Nucor, which is heavily focused on evaluating and auditing Nucor's internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with Nucor
policies.
• Performing audits of areas such as inventories, revenue recognition, accounting procedures, capital expenditures, accruals, etc.
• The successful candidate should be open to relocation for future growth opportunities.
• This position includes travel, up to 30% of the time.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Four (4) year degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum three (3) years' experience in an internal or external financial audit role
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Prior audit experience with a national public accounting firm
