Job Summary

We offer remote work opportunities (AZ, *CO, IA, ID, IL, MN, MO, MT, NV, NM, OR, SD, TX, UT, *WA, WI & WY only)

The principal function of this position is to provide technical skills and expertise required to support, configure, upgrade, and advance Medical Management applications. Analyzes system performance and researches system failures. Interfaces with vendors and business staff to resolve system problems; and supports development, testing, and implementation of projected enhancements to software configuration. Conduct reviews and recommend modifications to software functionality as determined by the business or vendor and will serve as a subject matter expert, working with business owners to optimize functionality, efficiency and performance.

Education & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
• U.S. Citizen, if supporting TRICARE contract
• Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DOD) background investigation, if supporting TRICARE contract
• 3 years of experience in supporting large enterprise wide applications and system software
• General understanding of programming concepts including stored procedures and views

Preferred:

• Healthcare Industry experience
• Experience with application administration
• Experience with Oracle or SQL databases

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and manage configuration and support of a specialized medical management application, including its suite of applications and database system. Must maintain a solid understanding of the architecture to assure application support, business case, and database requirements and up-grades within the software and in coordination with the IT infrastructure.
• Gain a complete and ongoing understanding of all the functionality of the software to be able to offer software solution options to internal and external clients.
• Develop proficiency and expertise in application configuration/import/export functionality and creation of custom modules utilizing vendor-delivered utilities.
• Responsible for performing code-set updates to application, to ensure compliance with new releases.
• Performs quality assurance of vendor-delivered and/or custom application modules.
• Prepares and/or obtains test data. Conducts application testing. Evaluates test results/defect logs and communicates results to developers and vendors.
• Assists manager and technical lead in evaluation of system requirements and provides support to isolate problems in operating procedures, systems software, and computer programs.

• Works closely with vendors, developers, and business to coordinate project activities for programs and systems.
• Provides technical expertise, secondary support, and system knowledge to Service Desk Support Technicians in relation to problem solving issues with the application.
• Maintains security standards and policies relating to system access over networks.
• Serves on project teams.
• Participates in regularly-scheduled project review/status meetings internally and with client departments.
• Serves as a technical and functional resource to business units.
• Consistently follows standard change management processes. Documents and evaluates impact of required changes to the various systems. Participates in plans, schedules and communicates changes prior to implementation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
