Job Title: Proposal Writer


Location: ADS Headquarters (Virginia Beach, VA) NOT Remote


ADS, Inc. is currently seeking an exceptional Proposal Writer to play a vital role assisting the overall development of responses to Government RFPs. This position will be based out of our corporate headquarters in Virginia Beach and serve as part of our Strategy and Capture teams. Only those possessing excellent interpersonal skills, and stellar written and verbal communication/negotiation abilities will be considered. Strong demonstrated proposal management prowess, unparalleled attention to detail and organizational skills, and the dedication to work long hours as needed are a must. 


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Review solicitation documents and developing proposal templates and responses.

  • Work with ADS personnel in developing winning proposals, including both solicited and unsolicited bids.

  • Author original text for such non-technical and technical activities as Executive Summaries, company qualifications, past performance, technical volumes and other marketing-related materials.

  • Conduct interviews and work closely with subject matter experts to ensure a comprehensive and compliant response.

  • Assist subject matter experts in ensuring all RFP requirements can be met.

  • Support proposal production through preparation, editing and final binding of all proposals.

  • Oversee timelines for submission of proposals and make sure that deadlines are met.

  • Coordinate all proposal sections (Past Performance, Technical Management, and Pricing) and complete all required government forms.

  • Develop and maintain proposal management plan, outlines and schedules for contract opportunities.

  • Maintain a library of capabilities to be used as the basis of past performance and marketing documentation.

  • Maintain a library of Past Performance documents.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in a Major field of study whose emphasis is on strong writing, thinking, researching, and reading skills is required.

  • 3+ years of experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint must be able to develop charts, graphs, tables, et cetera.

  • Excellent writing, grammar, editing, and organization skills.

  • Experience in project management strongly desired.

  • Strong interpersonal skills are a must position will interface with customers, subcontractors, employees at all levels of the company to determine needs and design appropriate responses.
