Accounts Payable Specialist




About the role:



The Accounts Payable Specialist manages the full-cycle accounts payable process, including banking and cash transfers, with general supervision.



Key Duties:



- Process weekly accounts payable accurately and on time.


- Review invoices for proper G/L coding, approval, and accuracy; match with packing slips and purchase orders.


- Resolve invoice issues with managers and vendors; maintain logs for timely payments.


- Process vendor payments via checks and ACH transfers; address invoice corrections and prepare G/L reclasses.


- Manage vendor files and Sage AP master files; update Positive Pay and reconcile monthly refund transactions.


- Handle 1099 payments, maintain W-9 records, and assist with sales tax filings.


- Update process expense reports.


- Monitor daily bank balances, handle cash deposits, and manage banking transactions.



Skills:



-4-5 yrs+ full-cycle accounts payable experience.


- Strong communication and organizational skills.


- Ability to handle routine financial tasks and problem-solve effectively.


- Maintain professional relationships and collaborate effectively with peers.



Salary: $28-32 HR
