Hiring Range: $76,876.80 - $101,337.60/Year. It is anticipated the hiring rate offered will be +/- the midpoint range depending on qualifications.

Port Corpus Christi Authority (PCCA) is currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team! This position will lead all aspects of grant pursuits, ensuring timely and efficient submission of grant application and reporting documents. Grant application development will involve researching, identifying, outlining, developing, writing, and submitting applications; reporting functions include tracking, collecting, and submitting required reports and documentation to administer grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. As a member of the Planning Department reporting to the Strategic Planning Manager, the position performs specialized work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. It requires the ability to develop productive working relationships, collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and exercise appropriate independent judgment within established policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and maintain awareness of PCCA programs, objectives, strategies
  • Research and identify potential grant resources to fund PCCA priority projects
  • Synthesize information and prepare reports to assist leadership in determining feasibility of supplementing, developing, and/or expanding programs using grant resources
  • Identify and outline application requirements and convene subject matter experts across departments and operational disciplines to facilitate completion and on-time submission of full grant proposal packages (narratives, budgets, exhibits, and appendices)
  • Facilitate discussions and processes to ensure timely development of technical application content across a range of disciplines
  • Coordinate processes to uphold grant applications, modifications, reporting, and renewal deadlines
  • Develop and maintain data collection systems and liaise with relevant colleagues to collect and collate operational details and budgetary information to produce timely and comprehensive reports and updates
  • Utilize grants management system software to track information and produce complex reports required by local, state, and federal funders
  • Maintain records of current and archived grant-funded projects and grant applications
  • Contribute as directed to the analysis of fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of PCCA departments to support strategic business needs
  • Willing to work non-standard business hours when necessary to meet deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or related work as required
  • CPR certified or the ability to become CPR certified within the first year of employment
  • Tier 3 status designation

EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent, or three to five years of grants-related experience is preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) during course of employment
  • Valid driver’s license

EXPERIENCE & JOB KNOWLEDGE
  • Knowledge and proven experience developing grants and funding agreements, meeting federal and state grants compliance requirements, and administering contract
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with people of diverse backgrounds and subject matter expertise
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently within a structured environment and to fit well within an energetic and dedicated team
  • Effective communicator with demonstrated interpersonal, collaboration, and critical thinking skills

TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to understand, interpret and apply PCCA policies, SEAPORT values, state/federal laws
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams) and other related applications
  • Strong analytical skills (financial or accounting experience preferred)

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Ability to perform essential job functions, including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking or hearing, typing and occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
