The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for distributing, tracking and managing the controlled quality documentation using an eQMS database. Identify areas for improvement and ensure rapid communication of QA issues to appropriate leaders and colleagues. Define, lead and manage continuous quality improvement programs that improve processes, products and services which lead to customer satisfaction and retention.



This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and is part of the Quality & Operational Exellence department located in Waltham, MA and will be on-site. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.





In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Assist with internal audits of Manufacturing/Logistics functions to verify compliance with Abcam's QMS and internal audit program.

Review and close out non-conformance reports, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.

Assist with QMS training programs and training on quality related procedures and policies.




The essential requirements of the job include:



  • You will be educated to degree level in biological sciences and/or have 4 years' experience of working within the life science/medical device industry.

  • You will also have a practical working knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001:2015 and have an audit focused experience.

  • Strong communication, both verbal and written, are essential for this role with the ability to write clearly, succinctly in a manner that appeals to a wide audience.




Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:



  • Ability to travel - N/A

  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record N/A

  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to ##lb, any other physical requirements (standard office supplies)




It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:



  • 5S/Lean/Six Sigma

  • Auditing

  • Quality Management Systems



Pay transparency language for locations where it may be required by law:


The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $52,800.00 - $87,100 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.


This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
