RMC is seeking a detailed oriented Security Specialist for NSWC Indian Head. The selected applicant will provide DoD and security experience to provide access control and visitor request support. They will process expected visitor forms, verify vetting and vetting forms to submit for approval, issue visitor passes, and send visit requests using the Defense Information System for Security (DISS). The selected applicant will verify clearances in DISS for visit requests received, process badge paperwork, and issue badges. The selected applicant may assist in initial and periodic investigations and assist with fingerprinting and in-processing of new employees. The selected applicant will perform day to day office duties in support of the security office. The candidate will be handling secure information, so prior knowledge of how this information should be handled and stored is required.

Requirements

An Associate’s Degree with five (5) years of relevant experience or a High School diploma or GED equivalent with six (6) years of relevant experience is required.

The candidate must have an advanced working knowledge of MS Office and a willingness to learn other duties as assigned. Must have a working knowledge of processing CAC/USID/R/DEERS/TRICARE needs. Working knowledge of DISS and Lenel systems is desired. The candidate must also have a high degree of customer focus and provide exceptional customer service.

Security Clearance: An active DoD secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $50,000 to $60,000 (annually).
