Position Description:

We're seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Part-Time Intern seeking an entry level career in the IT field. You'll learn valuable ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. You'll gain experience and knowledge pertaining to the service desk position and cyber security aspects of the business, which includes but is not limited to field questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of assigned products and will apply basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures. When necessary, you'll escalate complex problems to a higher level of expertise within the organization. In essence you'll learn what makes a business successful and secure.



Responsibilities:


* Answer phone inquiries, emails, direct calls, and provide basic company information


* Respond to and resolve customer requests, in relation to software, hardware and network operations difficulties by providing fast, efficient, and friendly customer service.


* Assist with managing escalated customer issues and creation of updates to process and procedure documentation as required.


* Resolve problems with or without remote tools.


* Accurately document calls and cases.


* Manage time and workload to meet predetermined service levels.


* Provide recommendations to improve upon user experiences


* Occasionally review systems and users, monitor corrective actions


* Maintain system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system software, and allocate mass storage space


Requirements


* Basic knowledge in the IT industry.


* Excellent customer service skills.


* Proactive self-starter capable of working both independently and in a team setting.


* Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


* Exceptional professionalism and work ethic


* Strong written and oral communication skills using the English Language.


Security Qualifications:



  • No security clearance required; Secret Clearance Preferred

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must pass a Federal Law Enforcement Background Investigation
