The incumbent will work from home 3-4 days/week and work in our office, or at a client site, 1-2 days/week. What You Will be Doing: As a Mechanical Engineer / Designer II/III at Interface, you will be taking ownership as a discipline leader on multiple projects. Your duties will include (but may not be limited to):
  • Engineering Design Team: Participating as a critical member of a multi-disciplinary engineering and design team for a wide array of project types and sizes. Taking a leadership role under the supervision of a Senior Mechanical Engineer and/or PE.
  • Performing HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing designs for commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, biotech, transportation and other industries using Revit.
  • Management: Working under the guidance of a PE with project oversight, scheduling, task delegation, and mentorship.
  • Project Management: Participate in planning for scope, schedule, budget, discipline coordination for assigned projects.
  • Client Management: Responsible for project delivery, client satisfaction and repeat business with assigned clients.
  • Project Financial Management: Ensuring project work is performed within budget.
To Qualify for Application: The successful candidate should have:
  • BSME, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years' MEP/AEC design and consulting experience.
  • Experience with HVAC load calculations and duct sizing.
  • Working experience with documentation in Revit.
  • Ability to perform multiple functions in a fluid, multi-deadline environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team orientated collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
To Be Competitive for this Role: Preferred qualifications include:
  • Working knowledge of Revit
  • Working knowledge of Energy modeling (EnergyPlus and Trane Trace)
  • LEED accreditation, or interest in obtaining accreditation.
  • EIT certification, or interest in obtaining.
  • PE licensed or interest in obtaining.
Interface Benefits and Perks: Highly competitive total compensation packages.
  • The posted annual salary range for this position is $75,000 to $115,000.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance. Interface pays 80% of employee only premium or 80% of the premium for employee and dependents. Interface pays 100% of employee dental and vision premium, or 80% of employee + dependents premium.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) – immediate accrual starts on your first day of work.
