Job Description
Certification Manager - SGS North America, Inc., Deer Park, Texas.
Act as scheme owner for ATEX and IECEx schemes and primary contact for accreditation bodies;
Function as a Certification Reviewer or Certifier in one or more of the Conformity Assessment areas including NRTL, ATEX and IECEx;
Participate in technical committees and industry associations to keep up to date on requirements;
Manage the authorization of the global team of Reviewers and Certifiers responsible for day-to-day conduct of performing conformity assessments;
Be responsible for the leadership, performance, and development of the Question-Answer relationship (QAR) assessment team;
Conduct quality and technical audits of related SGS facilities and on time corrective action review and closure;
Train and mentor affiliates to ensure technical alignment;
Function as a technical resource for engineering staff and customer;
Adhere to internal standards, policies and procedures;
Perform other duties as assigned. May work from home within the metropolitan area of Houston, Texas.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus three (3) years of experience in any occupation with the required experience/skills.
Experience must include: Three (3) years experience in Conformity Assessment for hazardous locations in NRTL, ATEX and IECEx.
Authorized to conduct technical reviews of ExTRs, test data and technical reports compiled for 60079-0, 60079-1, 60079-2, 60079-7, 60079-11, 60079-15, 60079-18 (IEC/EN/CSA and UL versions).
Must have Authorized Quality Assessment Reports (QAR) and Quality Assessment Notifications (QAN) auditor certification.
