The Marketing Budget Analyst position is responsible for managing the financial review and entry process for Marketing invoices. The incumbent supports assigned Marketing budget owners with consultative services, insightful financial reporting and analysis, and budget management guidance in alignment with standard processes. The incumbent supports the Manager, Marketing budget in annual budget planning, execution, and reconciliation, along with training of Marketing associates.
Responsibilities include:
Research, prepare, and report financial entries, ensuring Marketing invoices are properly processed, reconciled, and prepared for payment.
Provide consultative services and guidance to assigned Marketing budget owners (Managers and Individual Contributors) to support decision-making and overall budget management.
Develop and execute Marketing financial reporting and analysis, providing insights to assigned Marketing budget owners and transparency to BAR.
Uphold standard processes for Marketing budget management to ensure consistency and accuracy within the department and alignment with BAR policies and standards.
Support the Manager, Marketing Budget in the planning, execution, and reconciliation of the Marketing financial process for the Marketing budget and Operating Cost Plan throughout the fiscal year cycle.
Assist the Manager, Marketing Budget in on-boarding and training Marketing associates as it relates to budget management.
Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting or another analytical discipline with at least four years business experience or equivalent OR
High school diploma with at least six years business experience or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of financial budget management and accounting principles
General knowledge of marketing disciplines and principles
Ability to interpret, analyze, and explain financial information. This includes forecasting, understanding financial data, and accurately interpreting financial statements and reports; identifying the key factors affecting financial performance.
Ability to attend to and verify the accuracy and completeness of detailed information. This includes the ability to scrutinize information and identify discrepancies and produce work that is complete and free of errors.
Ability to effectively use digital applications to process invoices, reconcile campaign budgets, and generate established and ad hoc reporting.
A willingness to work extended hours as necessary including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness to perform other duties, as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or another analytical discipline
Two years relevant business experience
Ability to develop:
Strong knowledge of Publix Marketing budget hierarchy, processes, and procedures
