Amount of Travel Required: As Necessary





LOCATION: Primary location is Green Bay, travel and work throughout district is possible



STANDARD HOURS: 40 hours per week; Typical Hours Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours, as necessary.



SALARY RANGE: $80,515 - $86,777.17 per year



*Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be placed

within the range

based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY


Responsible for implementing and managing the Department of Energy, Industrial Assessment Center grant (DOE IAC Grant) which includes both administrative responsibilities for monitoring the budget and deliverables, as well as direct programing components (e.g., mentoring, and instructional delivery of Energy courses). Provide education to NWTC Solar students. Offer no-cost efficiency improvement recommendations to small- and medium-sized manufacturing facilities staff. As part of the assessment process, participating students and faculty make recommendations for energy and water savings, waste reduction, productivity improvements, cybersecurity, and smart manufacturing opportunities for qualifying facilities, while measuring their impact on greenhouse gas emissions.

Essential Functions Statement(s)



  • Provide leadership to DOE IAC Grant by applying project management process to ensure successful implementation. Ensure deliverables are met by analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions, as needed. Create an environment of open, honest dialogue.

  • Oversee and assist with program recruitment. Provide one-on-one or group mentoring to employer participants.

  • Responsible for budget management, including working with Finance and the Grant offices to complete budget revisions. Ensure all required programmatic/budget reports are submitted.

  • Work with Energy students, faculty, and business owners to conduct energy audits in business throughout the District.

  • Teaching assignments in solar program classes relating to energy management.

  • Utilize engaging instructional strategies and methodologies which foster student success both in and outside of the classroom.

  • Provide immediate, routine, and consistent feedback to students to assist them in improving performance in technical and core ability competencies.

  • Comply with College policies and practices related to instruction, assessment, and delivery.

  • Maintain proficient knowledge and skill in emerging trends and current occupational practices by networking with regional industry leaders and participating in continuing education.

  • Maintain Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements, faculty progression structure requirements and licensure required to maintain individual and program accreditation.

  • Collaborate with faculty to monitor progress, as well as engage in division, department, and team meetings.

SKILLS & ABILITIES



Education: Bachelor's degree and five years direct occupational experience in the energy field.



  • Experience in energy management field as an energy auditor, energy management consultant, energy program manager, facility manager, architect, mechanical or electrical engineer, building control operator, etc.

  • Expertise in theory and application of building energy consumption, heat transfer, building materials, construction process, energy efficiency and energy conservation strategies and technologies, energy investment analysis, building energy analysis tools, energy simulation software, natural and artificial lighting technologies, water conservation strategies, utility rate structures and professional organizations related to energy management.

  • Familiarity with and use of building energy analysis and energy auditing software.

  • Teaching experience in energy and solar preferred



**An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.




Certificates & Licenses: NABCEP Solar certification preferred (or similar equivalent)
