Position Summary | The ITECK Community Partnership Coordinator will serve as an ambassador of Indigenous Traditional Ecological & Cultural Knowledge (ITECK) programming within the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (CLAS) and the Indigenous Nations Studies Department. This role will include managing communications about the program for campus and off-campus community, assisting with ITECK events coordination, cultivating and maintaining relationships with ITECK partners, and supporting ongoing planning and fundraising efforts for the Vernier Science Center Indigenous Library and ITECK Center. The coordinator will be an integral member of a small ITECK team reporting to the CLAS Associate Dean for Undergraduate Engagement, and collaborating closely with Indigenous Nations Studies Department faculty and staff. The position will also collaborate as needed with staff from PSU’s Native American Student & Community Center and the PSU Foundation. This is a limited duration position, through 6/30/25, in accordance with Article 32 of the SEIU collective bargaining agreement :OPU-SEIU Local 503 Collective Bargaining Agreement 2022-2026 |
Minimum Qualifications from Classification | Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR An Associate’s degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology AND one year of general clerical experience. Note: College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. |

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement | The starting hourly rate for this position will be between $17.24 and $19.29. The SEIU rates increase by 2% on 11/1/24. PSU’s offer an excellent benefits package including health, vision and dental insurance, plus a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon Public Universities. This .5 FTE position will share the premium cost prorated based on hours worked. Accrual of vacation, sick, and personal leave is prorated based on the FTE. |
