Job Description:

This is what you will do:



Alexion's Omnichannel Strategy & Operations team provides engagement planning expertise to truly create meaningful customer experiences for HCPs, patients, and caregivers. The Director, Omnichannel Marketing & Paid Media will play a critical role establishing best practices, standards, and capabilities around targeting, media deployment, and measurement. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining Alexion's relationships with our media agencies, developing and standardizing our operations around digital marketing and channel mix best practices, and establishing a true test-and-learn culture to incubate new partnerships and scale successful pilots across the business. They will partner with others on the omnichannel team and the marketing teams to ensure consistent pull-through across US Commercial.


The Director reports to the Senior Director, Omnichannel Strategy & Operations, US Commercial



You will be responsible for:



  • Providing subject matter expertise around digital ecosystem design, including best practices around programmatic, social media, SEO/SEM, and third party partnerships.

  • Partners closely with Director, Omnichannel Strategy, CX/UX to ensure holistic digital ecosystem design across paid and owned channels.

  • Staying up-to-date on the evolving digital marketing landscape, including data/privacy regulations, technology advancements, and platform changes.

  • Sets standards and best practices for media agency partnerships, ensuring consistent operations and service across the US Commercial business.

  • Driving innovation within US Commercial by piloting new targeting approaches and/or partners using data-driven test-and-learn approaches.

  • Responsible for scaling successful pilots across the US Commercial business, as needed.

  • Partner with omnichannel strategy leads aligned to Alexion's 3 Business Units as designed subject matter expert to ensure consistent pull-through of capabilities across US commercial.

  • Reporting on digital performance and deriving actionable insights and recommendations, including partnering with advanced analytics team to demonstrate value of digital spend to the business.

  • Determining best approach for bi-directional data feeds between Alexion and media partners/agencies for triggering timely outreach and for timely reporting.

  • Championing new data sources and technological innovations to optimize our efficiency and reach to our HCPs and patients.


You will need to have:



  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of digital marketing or related experience (e.g. analytics, media buying, marketing).

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing tactics, including programmatic, social media, SEO/SEM, and the technology platforms that enable them.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proven ability to communicate new ideas to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Robust analytical skills to evaluate omnichannel performance and identify the key insights that will yield actionable improvements.

  • Track record of successfully delivering initiatives on-time and on-budget with proven customer engagement and business results.

  • The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment.
