Our client is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager - SDLC in New York, NY.


Role Description


• Provide technical program management support to the engineering teams and assist where needed in overall program coordination throughout the User Foundations organization.
• Manage technical teams, serve in scrum ceremonies, and provide release support as needed.
• Lead planning meetings, scrum ceremonies and cross functional coordination.
• Proactively work with product management and other project stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, define project scope and objectives, understand requirements, and effectively communicate requirements to engineering teams to drive projects forward.
• Work with engineering teams and leadership to establish processes that will ensure success on high priority business initiatives and improve efficiency.
- Manage program reporting for engineering efforts.
- Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate, and communicate project risks to internal and external partners.
- Ensure Jira hygiene for all initiatives including the recording and tagging of tickets to the appropriate business initiatives and releases.
- Create and maintain Jira reports, dashboards, burndowns, and track velocity.
- Demonstrate technical adeptness to understand and effectively converse in the User Foundations domain.
- Establish and cultivate strong relationships with all stakeholders and leverage these to develop an understanding of their short-term and long-term goals and priorities to ensure organizational alignment.
- Manage schedules and capacity planning to ensure the team can deliver within project scope and duration alongside other existing priorities.


Skills & Requirements


• 5+ years Technical Program Management experience, specifically focused on SDLC
• Possesses in depth experience executing Agile methodologies specific to technical Scrum teams and release management for back end services
• Experience working with stakeholders, such as product and design, to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and engage with engineering teams to drive projects forward.
• Have mastered industry-standard project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence.
• Excel at working with project stakeholders to define project scope and objectives, and you are able to effectively communicate requirements to development teams.
• Excel in leading effective meetings, planning, documenting decisions and follow up.
• Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate project risks to internal and external partners.
• Display initiative, take a proactive approach, and are able to start the conversation and guide other program leads in process development. Consistently evaluating processes and seeking for ways to improve at every iteration.
• Have developed essential soft skills including meeting leadership, communication, teamwork, collaboration, flexibility, problem solving, critical thinking, & conflict resolution.
• Learn quickly and enthusiastically, particularly about technical systems and issues.
