Reports to: Sr. Manager, Footwear Product Testing

Location: Portland, OR

The Role

Are you a creative thinker with your feet grounded in science? HOKA is looking for a Sr. Footwear Product Testing Analyst to support our Innovation team. The HOKA Sr. Footwear Innovation Product Testing Analyst will lead Product Testing for our HOKA Innovation team, including creating innovation product testing processes, innovation test plans, recruiting an innovation tester database, executing testing, and communicating with the cross functional teams. This role will focus on perception & durability product testing and may also work with teams focused on biomechanical and mechanical testing.

The Sr. Footwear Innovation Product Testing Analyst will be a leader on our HOKA Product Testing team working closely with our Innovation, Product Creation, and Product Engineering teams. Supporting our Product Testing strategy and providing concise and meaningful test information to contribute to the continuous improvement of HOKA footwear.

A strong candidate for this role is experienced in Innovation and Inline footwear product testing. This person is a problem solver who has a passion for the HOKA athlete and has a strong voice to ensure that HOKA footwear exceeds consumer expectations for fit, performance, and durability while remaining true to the HOKA spirit.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

Understand of the unique testing needs of an Innovation footwear team. Lead testing across multiple categories, genders, and complexity of product. Mentor and train new and existing Analysts to ensure consistency across testing. Apply a strong understanding of product testing to ensure that the best information, in a timely manner, is presented to our Innovation & Product Creation teams. Assist in the creation of Innovation Product Testing best practices. Be an expert in test planning, survey creation, leading focus group and interviews.

We'd love to hear from people with


  • High school degree required.

  • Two or four-year college degree or equivalent, with coursework or solid experience in research methodology, test design and analysis.

  • 8 to 10 years' experience in a work context where research, data collection, and results analysis were a significant part of the job.

  • 5 to 8 years' experience in the footwear industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of footwear product testing as a key part of the footwear product creation process.

  • 1 to 2 years' experience training/mentoring new team members.

  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and product testing software.

  • Understanding of footwear components, materials, and production processes.

  • A degree in Kinesiology, Biomechanics, or Psychology is a plus.
