Position Description
Role: Technical Program Manager
Location: Seattle, WA - Hybrid
Project Overview:
As a Technical Program Manager, Privacy, you will play a key role in improving the privacy posture of our Alphabet companies by enabling privacy-safe data migrations and proactive privacy risk management through projects, assessments and consultations with Alphabet companies. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and legal teams to proactively identify and mitigate privacy risks.
Overall Responsibilities:
Advise and support technical teams on privacy considerations related to data migration from corporate systems and conducting asset reviews to identify potentially sensitive data.
Conduct comprehensive privacy assessments of corporate systems, applications and data processes. Document findings, analyze risk and provide clear and actionable recommendations for remediation.
Track and drive the resolution of identified privacy issues, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to develop remediation plans, monitor progress and ensure timely closure and appropriate handoff.
Design and implement a service to provide privacy consultation and support to internal teams.
Continuously optimize team processes and knowledge management practices to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness. This includes maintaining up-to-date documentation, templates, and internal resources.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Provide expert privacy guidance to technical teams on privacy considerations for various internal projects involving Alphabet companies.
Identify and resolve privacy risks through conducting assessments and driving remediation of identified privacy issues.
Continuously optimize team processes and knowledge management practices to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness
Mandatory
5 years of minimum experience as a Technical Program Manager in Privacy Required skills - stakeholder management, planning and communications, risk management expertise
Preferred Qualifications
Audit or assessment experience Privacy certifications such as CIPT (Certified Information Privacy Technologist) or CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager) Risk management certifications such as RIMS-CRMP (RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional)
