A Day in the Life
The Quality Technician III is a seasoned quality professional with experience in quality and operations. This individual will be responsible for working directly with engineering and manufacturing associates to investigate product issues, to perform containment on potentially nonconforming product, and to document results in technical reports. This is a first shift role at the MECC location in Brooklyn Center, MN.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Performs analysis, inspection, and tests of raw materials, production samples, and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to manufacturing instructions and regulatory requirements.


• Performs a variety of tasks to aid in manufacturing issues and initial investigation activities into potential nonconformities, including controlling and labeling nonconforming product.


• Reviews production records for conformance to procedures, including reviewing Device History Records.


• Conducts non-conformance sorting or testing of manufactured, packaged or tested product.


• Technical writing - documents investigations into potential nonconformities and drafts nonconformance reports.


• Prepares and monitors quality statistics. Reviews quality metrics to identify trends and improvement projects.


• Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with nonconformance processes (NCMR or PRB) - Familiarity with nonconformance procedures, root cause analysis, and technical report review and writing.


• Knowledge of product containment techniques - Understanding various containment methods and technologies in the manufacturing process.


• Data analysis - Ability to analyze data related to process deviations, performance issues, and propose solutions.


• Problem-solving skills - Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for process or product failures.


• Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience - Exposure to methodologies like Six Sigma or Kaizen to drive process improvements.


• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment - Knowledge of automation systems used in production.


• Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements - Understanding of ISO standards, FDA regulations, or other relevant industry quality standards.


• Technical writing skills - Ability to create technical documentation, reports, and NCMR-related records.


• Systems knowledge: SAP, FACTORYworks, Agile, Microsoft Office products especially Excel and Word.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$50,800.00 - $76,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
