Support the financial management of Kroger Health entities as assigned. Work with accounting and analytics group to manage financial operations of Kroger Prescriptions Plans, to include, but not limited to, financial planning and control, risk management, underwriting, and finance policies and procedures. - Bachelor's Degree accounting, finance or related field
- 2+ years accounting/finance experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to focus on detail and produce fully accurate results for sustained periods of time
- Strong business acumen with the ability to grasp issues and understand strategy
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skill with high attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results
Desired
- Master's Degree accounting, finance or related field
- Any Essbase knowledge
- Any previous experience in accounting/finance with a public company, accounting firm, division or corporate finance/accounting or audit experience
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and influencing skills- Prepare month-end journal entries and assist with the preparation of month-end variance analysis of the Profit & Loss statement
- Track rebate payments and audit against formularies, to ensure accuracy for clients and yields for KPP
- Assess the impact of benefit design changes, formulary, utilization management, rebate arrangements and make recommendations that drive KPP competitive differentiation
- Track and report on deltas between underwritten pricing with revenue to actual pricing with revenue and identify the causes
- Complete process for accounting entries associated with Kroger Prescription Plans, The Little Clinic, or other Kroger Health entities as assigned
- Collaborate and assist with business partners on certain business transactions by establishing, coordinating and documenting accounting processes
- Assist with corporate Accounting team in executing various quality control, process improvement initiatives and special projects
- Manage the budgeting/forecasting process with Operations and department leads to ensure financial information is provided on a regular basis in order to effectively manage the business
- Lead efforts to review, update or establish financial policies and procedures; work with functional leaders as appropriate to implement and monitor
- Define, articulate, and implement financial controls as part of financial policies and procedures under the direction of Finance leader
- Research technical accounting matters on an ad hoc basis
