Looking for Director of Strategic Sourcing to be accountable for leadership, strategic planning, functional execution and management of all functions and assigned staff in the Sourcing and Procurement organizations. Working with various tools, reports and analytics, this leader will ensure adequacy of supply to meet and exceed CHIs internal and external customer’s needs, sourcing equipment, materials and services and managing suppliers to enable CHI’s success. Perform strategic sourcing activities across multiple categories of spends, select and develop suppliers, improve sourced material Service Levels, improve supplier quality performance, and reduce overhead and total landed costs. Provide leadership and guidance to the, Sourcing team. Supply Managers and Buyer/Planners as needed to ensure the necessary Supply Plans are established to support operations world-wide. Manage the various sourcing KPIs such as Spends vs Budget, Deflation/Inflation, Supplier quality escapes, Supplier On-Time Delivery, shortages and shortages aging, sole-sourced supplier reduction, fill rates and fill cycle times to goal and/or Continuous Improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides leadership, guidance and oversight to a team of 10+ sourcing professionals, creating a culture focused on safety, quality, cost and fulfillment performance.
Leads strategic evaluation of supply base – selection, qualification and performance. Ensures proper policies and procedures are developed and implemented.
Owns, improves and enables processes to manage supplier relationship and execution. From initial supplier selection and approval to ongoing commercial and delivery performance.
Works with planning to ensure the adequate supply plans are established to support demand requirements
Monitors the various Supply Planning reports, systems and tools for supply exception conditions, ensuring said supply exception conditions are driven /managed into health.
Track, monitor and report functional metrics/KPIs to reduce costs and improve supply effectiveness. (Cost Reduction/Avoidance, parts shortages, demand time-to-fill, quality escapes, and others as developed/assigned)
Leads and participates in daily, weekly and monthly operating mechanisms to ensure performance is meeting business needs.
Develop, lead and execute sourcing commercial strategy and supplier management/negotiations strategies that create the maximum benefit to CHI, optimally balancing quality, service level and costs
Directs the operation of assigned personnel and the utilization of department resources to effectively support CHI’s business needs and financial goals.
Coordinates and works across a broad base of customers and collaborators, managing and leading both laterally, upwards and downwards to ensure effective, high-velocity information, decision and action flow for parts that may require cross-functional collaboration or effort to attain supply health.
Conducts performance evaluations, plans salary actions, recommends hires and promotions, addresses employee disciplinary issues, anticipates and plans for skills and human resource requirements and develops staff to meet those needs, interprets and applies organization policies, and provides leadership toward resolving employee problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
6-10 years’ experience in similar Procurement, Sales, Production Control/Production Planning roles across a variety of industries, providing him/her the competence/hands-on knowledge to continually identify and address Best Practices in Sourcing, Procurement and Supply Planning which can be brought to bear to CHIs challenging supply planning needs and situations
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent training and/or experience.
Proven Supervisory, Management and or program or team leadership skills with a demonstrated and successful history of coaching and development of technical professionals from entry to senior levels.
Commercial negotiations experience with complex or technical products or services
Experience in the aviation field preferred.
Proficiency in advanced Supply Planning and/or adjunct Supply Planning disciplines such as Lean, Six Sigma, Program Management, advanced ERP and other planning software systems and tools. CPM designation preferred
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn other applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able present ideas, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels, technical or non-technical, internal and external.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
