Conduct thorough assessments of patients admitted for gastrointestinal disorders, including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians, tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient.
Manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions, including but not limited to inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, and pancreatitis.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and endoscopic procedures.
Prescribe medications and adjust dosages as necessary, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

This is a well-established practice that has been providing GI care to our community for over 40 years with a diverse group comprised of 33 physicians and advanced practice providers.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program required.
Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner required.
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
Required inpatient experience
Preferred 1 year of GI experience
Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.
Experience preferred, not required.
DEA and CDS eligible.
