Administrative Assistant



This role involves supporting families in Silver Spring and reporting directly to the Cemetery Manager(s). The candidate will carry out a range of administrative tasks related to cemetery operations as assigned. Additionally, they may provide limited direction to the secretary and field staff when necessary. In the absence of the manager, the candidate may be authorized to oversee cemetery operations on their behalf.


This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a five-day workweek, scheduled from Monday to Saturday, between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, including rotating Saturdays. Overtime pay is available.


Pay Rate: $19 to $21 per hour


Key Responsibilities


Assisting families both in the office and on cemetery grounds in Silver Spring with the selection of burial rights (plots, crypts/niches) and memorialization options.


Managing the sales process, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and record-keeping.


Overseeing daily funeral activities.


Performing various administrative tasks and field operations.
