General Info:




  • Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm


  • Type: Contract to Hire


  • Location: Maplewood - 100% in office


  • Pay: $19-$21/hr per hour, depending on experience


Job Duties:



  • Manage incoming calls, assist with patient rooming, and handle appointment scheduling.

  • Create and update new patient profiles in the system, including demographic, doctor, and insurance details.

  • Contact patients from the calling list to arrange their appointments.

  • Oversee the intake process by collecting co-pays, HIPAA, and insurance information.

  • Relay patient information to practitioners, announce arrivals, and assign patients to appropriate rooms.

  • Review costs, insurance details, and estimated payments based on practitioner instructions after patient visits.

  • Facilitate out-of-office scheduling for patients needing to visit other clinics.

  • Maintain a supply of patient and employee forms in the lobby and break room.

  • Open and distribute mail, manage voicemail messages, and relay information to the appropriate team members.


Requirements:



  • Prior experience in clinic patient scheduling is preferred.

  • Familiarity with third-party payer coverage requirements, including Medicare, commercial insurances, and workers' compensation.

  • Ability to reach, lift, and move around the office, and proficiency in operating computers and phones.

  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
