Job Summary The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment: Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition is currently seeking a Referral Coordinator to support research activities for the Food as Health Alliance. The Alliance brings together departments, centers, colleges, and key stakeholders across the Commonwealth to bring together clinical and community research to address food insecurity and diet-related chronic disease. The Referral Coordinator will assist patients with completing enrollment paperwork for food as medicine programs, completing key steps to receive food as medicine program daily, and problem-solving potential issues with patients related to the food as medicine program, financial or social barriers, transportation services or IT assistance.

We are looking for candidates who bring energy and fresh perspectives to our team. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills will help you excel in this role. The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of diverse individuals, vendors, and clinic partners, excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfort working with participants over the phone, and the capacity to work both independently and with flexibly are all key qualities we value.

This position may be eligible for remote/hybrid work arrangements after probationary period is completed and the core working hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills, proficient with MS Office suite, familiar
with RedCap or other data management system.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience 2+ years experience in community development, research,
community outreach, or other related field. Strong communication skills, customer service skills, comfortable working with diverse communities, and strong interpersonal skills.
