Job Description


PURPOSE AND SCOPE:


The PT Coordinator I Engage the Electorate will serve at one of the LSC campuses supporting the implementation of programming required to fulfill the requirements of the Engage the Electorate grant. Coordinates logistics, services and support surrounding programs or departments. Responsible for compliance with policies, procedures and a variety of local, state and federal regulations. Makes and communicates process decisions based on best practices.





This is a temporary, grant-funded position. Continuation of the position from one academic year to the next is contingent upon continued grant funding.







ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


    Assist with planning and executing events on each campus related to the requirements of the Engage the Electorate Grant

    May make presentations at various levels both internally and externally

    Support the Project Coordinator and the assigned campus' Civic Engagement Coordinator in the development of events related to the grant requirements

    Coordinates various department and management calendars and schedules. Assists with planning, schedules and coordinates various meetings/seminars/events, including site selection and preparation, marketing and training materials, and general support

    Maintain and submit records of reporting requirements as determined by the Project Coordinator and assigned campus' Civic Engagement Coordinator

    May monitor and maintain website for department and external use

    Assists with entering and tracking the department budget

    Takes part in special projects as needed

    Attend system wide Engage the Electorate meetings as required by Engage the Electorate Project Coordinator

    Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned








KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


    Strong attention to accuracy and detail

    Excellent knowledge of general office and software applications

    Ability to prepare and analyze reports

    Possess good organizational skills

    Ability to prioritize duties

    High level of customer service








PHYSICAL ABILITIES:


The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.







WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:


    Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment

    Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position

    Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards








REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


·Associate degree and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $17.060.
