In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  Apply knowledge of basic science and employ solid laboratory skills to execute bench experiments using a variety of molecular biology, cell biology, biochemical and general laboratory techniques as directed

  
  


• 
  

  Execute on assigned wet benchwork experiments under moderate oversight

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with data analysis and reporting, formulate conclusions, identify key issues, and work with others to solve problems using critical thinking skills

  
  


• 
  

  Interact with and assist other members of the VAV team or other internal departments as needed to meet research objectives

  
  


• 
  

  Lead or participate in the maintenance of laboratory and equipment

  
  

The essential requirements of the job include:

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Bioscience, Bioengineering, Chemistry or a related life sciences field with 2+ years hands-on wet bench relevant lab in academic or industry experience required, OR Master's degree with 1+ year of experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

  
  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• 
  

  Knowledge and experience in qPCR assays and NGS library preparation (preferred)

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with statistical analysis (JMP, DOE, etc.)

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of GLP, Design Control, and evaluation of products within a regulated environment (preferred)
