Job Description:

GDH is hiring an Operations Specialist to work with our client in the San Francisco, CA area. Our Operations team is very excited to continue growing by adding a new Operations Specialist! As the new Operation Specialist, you will support the shipping needs of customers, sales, operations teams, and help facilitate the flow of shipments to customers. This opportunity requires an individual with high attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and an enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day activities to support the fulfillment of outbound orders and ensure operational efficiency. Using multiple ERP system to accomplish daily task.

  • Craft and deliver daily internal and third-party logistics (3PL) reconciliation reports to track order accuracy and inventory levels.

  • Analyze and interpret export/import data from various internal and external data sources to support decision-making and process improvements.

  • Support system updates and enhancements to integrate new shipping services and capabilities.

  • Facilitate effective communication between the client and third-party distribution centers to ensure alignment and issue resolution.

  • Attend weekly meetings with distribution centers to prioritize orders, address issues, and optimize fulfillment processes.

  • Investigate and resolve lost and damaged package claims, handling escalations with couriers and customers in a timely manner.

  • Understand and adhere to international shipping requirements, including export documentation and region-specific criteria.

  • Provide support for multiple distribution centers as required to ensure consistent operational performance.

  • Analyze shipment data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in transit modes, packaging, and other logistical aspects.

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of Routing Guides (RTG) and Shipping Routing Configurations (SRC) to streamline processes.

  • Communicate shipping policies clearly and effectively to internal teams and external partners.

  • Manage sales and customer escalations, providing resolutions and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Provide training, support, and troubleshooting for enterprise resource planning (ERP) programs, including user onboarding and ongoing assistance.

  • Assist in the implementation and upgrade of ERP systems, including configuration, customization, and integration with existing processes.

  • Develop, maintain, and update system documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness of ERP processes and configurations.

  • Review, analyze, and report on system data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, Logistics, or a related field required.

  • 3-5 years of experience in fulfillment warehouse operations and/or logistics management.

  • Proven experience in consulting, implementation, and support of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications.

  • Extensive experience with ERP systems, including setup, customization, and maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of general business software with a demonstrated ability to learn and apply new applications.

  • Ability to articulate complex processes and translate them into actionable steps.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in managing phone, email, and meeting interactions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as Salesforce, Dynamics GP, or similar platforms preferred.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions and priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective user support and training for ERP systems.
