Who are we looking for?
GHD has an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Engineer specializing in dams and water-related structures within the fields of geotechnical and structural engineering. The successful candidate will have a robust background in hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) as well as Civil3D projects, and will lead initiatives relating to the design, analysis, and stabilization of various water storage and flood control facilities. This position will work from our Irvine office, supporting projects in the West Region.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead H&H and Civil3D projects related to dams, reservoirs, levees, flood control channels, and other water storage facilities.
Conduct and oversee geotechnical investigations, engineering analyses, and calculations.
Monitor earthwork and perform field work.
Conduct geologic and seismic hazard studies, and analyze and stabilize slopes.
Perform steady and transient state seepage analysis.
Design earth retaining structures, deep foundations, and in-situ testing plans.
Carry out special structural analysis, design, and modeling.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and project management abilities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in using advanced engineering software and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
