Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client in Austin, TX is seeking a Project Manager for their IT team, specifically focused on project management within software development. This role is a contract-to-hire position, with the possibility of transitioning to direct hire for the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Project Planning & Management: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables; Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, and budget; Manage changes to the project plan

  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project team members, oversee day-to-day activities, and ensure clear role definition for team members

  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication with stakeholders, provide regular updates on progress, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle

  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks, develop contingency plans, and monitor progress to ensure project success

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, conduct project post-mortems, and generate reports with recommendations

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, track milestones, and present project reports and updates to stakeholders







REQUIREMENTS:



  • 5+ years of project management experience in the IT software industry

  • Proven experience in managing software development projects

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with SDLC

  • Familiarity with project management tools and best practices

  • Leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Preferred skills: PMP or PRINCE2 certification






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
