RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist in Arlington, VA.

Duties Include:

• Payroll Tax Specialist will prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax returns


• Reconcile payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies


• Ensure compliance with all payroll tax regulations and timely submission of tax payments


• Stay updated on changes in payroll tax laws and regulations


• Assist with payroll audits and provide necessary documentation


• As a Payroll Tax Specialist, you will collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing


• Respond to payroll tax inquiries from employees and tax authorities


• Maintain accurate payroll tax records and documentation

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll tax or a similar role


• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations


• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
