Job Description:

Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions, LLC, a Yum! Brands Co-op is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Field Service to join the Distribution Team.




Overview of the Position:



The Distribution and Logistics team is accountable for ensuring supply continuity for the +$7B in critical Yum! Brand food and packaging components which support 18,000+ restaurants and $20B in revenue across Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, Habit Burger & Grill and A&W Restaurants in the United States.


This position will engage with a broad set of teams to plan and ensure execution of distribution strategies that assure supply across all Yum! Brands as well as resolve supply disruptions while planning for future network needs. Responsibility will encompass approximately:


• All US based Distribution Centers (DCs) and redistribution points


• 25+ Supplier, plant, and/or item specification transitions annually

Essential Functions:



• The ability to work successfully inside the project management team, ensuring the successful transition and


implementation of the Next Generation Distribution and Logistics model.


• Ensure that project management tasks are aligned within all current business operations teams.


• Daily distribution point of contact with the assigned RSCS cross-functional teams and Brands on resolution of


supply and customer service issues.


• Resolve member partner issues and/or concerns; provide timely responses to any member queries, facilitate and


continuously improve communications between the restaurants and distribution partners.


• Schedule restaurant visits and conduct restaurant location delivery observations focused on service level


improvements.


• Educate members on DC to restaurant touchpoints, policies and processes including the promotion of new


initiatives and modern technologies.


• Serve as the DC liaison during new store/restaurant openings, construction projects, restaurant/store closings,


contingencies, etc. - Partner with team to develop plans to coordinate efficiency/execution of deliveries.


• Own the Distributor relationship for those assigned distributors to include compliance with RSCS and Yum!


Brands standards, contract and KPI requirements and problem resolution.


• Key contact with Franchisees and Operators on Distribution matters to include problem resolution, communication


of RSCS/Yum! Brands initiatives, interpretation and execution of contracts, and other activities as needed to


service operator's requirements.


• Enable and deliver RMI objectives by identifying cost savings initiatives that reduce cost of goods and/or


improves restaurant margins.


• Implement and lead QBR process with all distributors and identified partners.


• Exhibit strategic leadership and foresight to support long range distribution optimization and service level


improvement, while balancing cost.


• Translate business needs and priorities into actionable distribution & logistic strategies.


• Effectively initiate, manage, and lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects across the distribution


network, leverage LEAN, standard work, and visual controls.


• Define and implement scorecards to drive results and improve fidelity into cost and service factors.


• Ability to travel as needed, 50-75% travel.



Required Education, Experience, and Skills:



• Bachelor's degree required.


• 5+ years of food distribution experience including leading teams at high performing final mile distribution


companies within the QSR space.


• Experience in leading distribution transitions and new distributor onboarding


• Direct involvement with distribution/customer relationships and building out strategic roadmaps for future


operations.


• Ability to identify and understand complex issues, analyze, and compare data, and draw conclusions because of


analysis.


• Prefer personal involvement in business reviews, distribution partner onboarding and performance management to


KPI expectations.


• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and problem resolution skills.


• An initiative-taker with an exceptional work ethic.


• Project management skills and experience


• High proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.


• Prefer experience with network design software (i.e.: Llamasoft or similar) and supply visibility tools


(Arrowstream or similar)
