Responsible for material flow from local zone market to supply the cells for the operation within the section for the manufacturing function.
Supporting the Lead with the day-to-day management of their manufacturing area and ensuring a safe efficient operation in achieving business targets. Coordinate their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any shortages, material changes, to ensure production targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality and safety standards are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer.
Support requirements to achieve high standards, fostering a culture of working safely. Work under general supervision, reviewed by Management. Decisions and results have an impact on the function and their success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Material Flow
Safely operate a fork truck to support material movement for multiple station within a zone
Supply components from localized zone market to the cells utilizing bin systems
Prepare next finish good pallet with box container in each cell
Deliver box containers to cell (utilize pallet jack)
Deliver cardboard dividers to cells
Safety
Support efforts to keep cell clean by sweeping, picking up, and removal of scrap parts
Maintain safe conditions within the local zone market
Process
Follow standard route and document process to ensure correct delivery schedule
Build up box bases / lids
Report to materials group any understock conditions
Work to ensure multiple work cells are supplied per your standard work to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards
Maintain stock in the zone market to assure no stock shortages
Quality
Help maintain zone markings by updating labels & tape stripes that are no longer correct or legible
Ensure correct material is in the cell during current production runs
Ensure correct material is in the cell for model changeovers. Compare part number of components to those listed in the BOM (located on communication boards)
When delivering parts to cell, complete a quick review to ensure no gross and obvious damage has occurred during transportation process
Ensure that team members follow standard operating procedures and comply with quality requirements
Relationship Management
Communicate with material handlers to ensure zone markets are stocked
Feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and processes.

Skills and Attributes:
Work independently, reviewed infrequently with minimal supervision

Must be well organized to maintain the zone market
Excellent problem-solving skills
Able to work cross functionally and collaboratively with many stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
Fork Truck, pallet jack operation – 6 months minimum experience
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and communicate in English
Must be able to understand station layouts & Bill of Materials
Must be able to keep workstations clean and organized
Must have a positive attitude and have a sense of urgency
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent
MH 2- or 6-months previous warehouse experience required
