BANK CREDIT ANALYST I POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting lenders in assessing risk in the loan portfolio and ensuring strong compliance to loan policy as outlined by the bank.

BANK CREDIT ANALYST I PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist loan officers in the approval of credit and ensure proper risk rating per bank policy
Make recommendations as to the inherent risks of extending credit to each customer
Evaluation of risks associated with loan applications
Risk must be understood and communicated to ensure credit exposure is kept to a minimum and in line with the organization's limit on risk bearing
Analyze financial information, such as statements, management accounts and cash flow statements
Develop models of credit information to predict patterns and trends
Maintain credit financials for proper documentation and to ensure closed files are pulled, stored and/or destroyed per policy
Requirements:
BANK CREDIT ANALYST IROLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Business Administration or related field preferred or an equivalent of combined education and relevant work experience
Experience
Accounting or banking experience preferred
Experience with loan policies and procedures
Other Skills and Abilities
Strong background, or an ability to learn, principles in risk management
Strong math skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, speak clearly to customers and employees
Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
Travel to/from and work in multiple locations
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
