Manufacturing Assembly - Technical Assistant:

  • Hiring for 1st and 2nd shift starting at $20.00/hr
  • 2nd shift receives a 10% shift differential = $22.00/hr

Overview

Lutron Ketra has immediate openings on 1st and 2nd shifts for Manufacturing Assembly - Technical Assistants at our facility in Austin, TX. In this position you would be a key part of the Operations team. You will build a career with a high-tech company working in a hands-on environment. You will have the opportunity to rotate through multiple departments, gaining exposure to the broad range of equipment, processes, and technologies employed in our operation.



Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, testing and verification of electronic assemblies in a technical, computer-based environment and ensure quality of final product
  • Execute production schedules and highlight issues for quality and output improvement
  • Communicate status of operation and improvements in a timely manner to leaders
  • Work in a team environment to implement improvement ideas
  • Utilize the computer-based system to enter inventory and production transactions
  • Utilizes continuous improvements and assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by adhering to established policies and procedures


Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Flexibility to work on 1st shift (6:30am-3pm) or 2nd Shift (2:30pm-11pm) and overtime as needed
  • Capability to lift and move boxes of product up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time
  • Ability to move to surrounding workstations
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions in English
  • Ability for continuous learning
  • Knowledge of semiconductors or Surface-mount technology (SMT) and clean room procedures is a plus
