This role is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a hybrid work arrangement - individuals may be required to work some days in the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland while working the other days from home.

Organizational Expectations:

The UX Researcher will be empowered to play a crucial role in supporting and impacting our internal and external products by utilizing a curious and empathetic mindset. You will collaborate with our cross-functional teams to support the Bank's mission and enhance our customers' experience. 

General Responsibilities:


  • Identify key research questions and objectives in partnership with product, design and engineering teams to develop learning plans and address research needs.


  • Formulate, develop, and execute on multiple research methods.


  • Identify appropriate research and design targets and build screeners that best align with your project needs, including creative recruitment strategies where required.


  • Synthesize/analyze data and findings, developing actionable insights, outputs and frameworks for both short term and long-term research needs.


  • Create compelling deliverables that focus on visually telling the story and highlighting important insights for longevity.


  • Plan and deliver research programs within budget, timeline, and project requirements.


  • Socialize, collaborate, and present research work and findings to multiple teams and leaders across the organization.


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related work experience.


  • Two years of college and 5+ years of related work experience.


  • Master's degree and 1+ years of related work experience.


Knowledge and Skills:


  • Intermediate experience across products and platforms, financial services expertise an advantage.


  • Intermediate understanding of traditional and new research and recruitment methods, UX methodology and design thinking.


  • Intermediate proficiency with project management.


  • Intermediate communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.


  • Intermediate ability to influence and guide others on the value and importance of user-centered thinking and research.


  • Intermediate ability to create summary findings from research.


  • Intermediate level understanding of digital whiteboarding tools.


Physical Demands and General Working Conditions:

Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air. High risk environment - single mistakes could cost Bank significant dollars and embarrassment. Time critical deadlines which cannot be altered - missing deadlines could cause the Bank significant dollars and embarrassment
