Position Summary:

Provides technical assistance to users for base software, security products, and desktop applications.

Position Key Accountabilities:

1. Assists with installing, configuring, maintaining, repairing, and supporting desktop computers, software, applications, and other related equipment in a networked environment.
2. Troubleshoots desktop services and systems.
3. Acts as a technical resource for users, and provides training to users for core computer and applications skills.
4. Documents requests and resolutions.
5. Participates in rollouts, deployments, migrations, and upgrades as necessary.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

Minimum Education:

Associates degree or relevant work experience in lieu of education.

Minimum Experience:

One year of related experience

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Security Sensitive:

This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215

Residency Requirement:

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
