Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer with 3-5 years of relevant experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for commissioning new and existing building systems, managing commissioning projects, and ensuring all systems meet operational requirements. The role involves working closely with construction teams, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver fully functional and compliant building systems.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and execute commissioning activities for various projects, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Review design documents and specifications to develop commissioning plans and testing protocols.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, functional performance testing, and troubleshooting of building systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure project goals are achieved on time.
  • Prepare detailed commissioning reports, documenting the performance of systems and any deviations from specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client-specific requirements.
  • Facilitate team meetings and communication between project stakeholders during the commissioning process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience performing commissioning services.
  • 3-5 years of experience in commissioning engineering, specifically within the building systems sector.
  • Knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Familiarity with commissioning standards (ASHRAE, ACG, NEBB, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and commissioning software tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CCP, CxA, PMP) are a plus.
  • Experience working on large federal or commercial projects is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainable building practices is a bonus.

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $73,000-$116,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
