Role Responsibilities


  • Schedule the processing and manufacture of all products based on Bottling production schedule and maintain Corporate and Plant quality standards.
  • Schedule the age and amount of whiskey to be dumped and/or trucked to fulfill bottling needs
  • Schedule the receipt of bulk imported spirits through Customs and of domestic spirits received in bulk.
  • Supervise employees in receiving dumped barrels, containers and tankers of Customs and domestic spirits.
  • Initiate batch worksheets for blended products and supervise employees in all phases of processing.
  • Initiate the Dump and Bottling Report identifying the different kinds, ages, proofs, producers and amounts of whiskey needed for bottling. Supervise employees in all phases of processing.
  • Maintain all Government records and related documentation. Ensure Government batching records, storage records and bottling tank records are accurate.
  • Maintain all Government records and related documentation for the Extract Division.
  • Maintain records of departmental serial numbers, tracking numbers and identification forms.
  • Supervise the processing and loading of export and domestic beverage containers. Complete all required paperwork and container labeling.
  • Ensure all transported beverage containers are properly documented and labeled in accordance with DOT regulations.

Additional Role and Responsibilities


  • Conduct the physical monthly inventory of all processing, bottling and storage tanks in compliance with Government regulations. Prepare required documentation for Government records.
  • Conduct monthly inventory of supplies and materials related to processing and manufacture of products. Order supplies and materials as needed.
  • Record and report necessary equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Fill-in/back-up for the one up Manager
  • Identify and implement any cost reduction measures specific to your area
  • Leader in creating an inclusive culture to support our Diversity & Inclusion initiatives
  • Support and be an advocate of continuous improvement initiatives that improve the safety, quality and efficiency of our operations
  • Support and implement all Company Policies and adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, specifically the grievance procedure
  • Safety is everyone's responsibility; identify risks and report violations, near misses, or injuries immediately
  • Knowledge of GMP's, safety standards, quality standards and demonstrated ability to react and communicate effectively to issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications


  • Previous manufacturing experience and working in a unionized environment
  • TRACC (Continuous Improvement) experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve operational issues through formal problem solving
  • Team work mindset
  • Math skills to accurately assess ROI of projects and cost savings opportunities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications and SAP

Requirements


  • Associate Degree in Science; Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience
  • Predictive Index (PI) Survey completed

Physical Requirements


  • Constantly walking, standing, and sitting
  • Rarely work at heights
  • Must be able to climb a minimum of three (3) flights of stairs in succession
  • Must be able to work in hot or cold conditions
  • Have acceptable (or corrected) visual acuity and depth perception. Have acceptable (or corrected) hearing
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English with understanding as it relates to job tasks
